Observation of world nature conservation day
The Eco Green Club, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, in support of the Departments of English and Chemistry, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, celebrated “World Nature Conservation Day” on 28th July 2025 on the College campus.
Dr. S. Anidha, Assistant Professor of Chemistry & NODAL Officer, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal was the resource person and delivered the topic titled “Preserve our environment…..protect our earth”.
She elucidated various environmental issues, such as, climate change, prevention of soil erosion, the need for tree plantations, prevention of water scarcity, soil pollution, water pollution, global warming, acid rain, creating energy sources, the need for rainwater harvesting, problems of over population, preference for organic farming, need for environmental education, etc.,
Mrs. G. Kanangi & Mrs. V. Indirakumari, Coordinators, Eco Green Club of the college, made arrangements.
Dr. A. Vijayasarathi, Coordinator, Institution Innovation Council and Mrs. S. Hemalatha, Coordinator of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell also took part. Nearly 100 students benefited through that awareness programme.
