Field Trips for students of Mathematics
A field trip or an excursion is a visit to an area outside the normal classroom, where students can see new places, to get different experiences and learn valuable lessons.
In this regard, 35 students of Mathematics (both B.Sc. and M.Sc.) went to Munnar and Kanthalur in Kerala state on 22nd and 23rd August 2025. They have seen various places, like the photo shoot view point, Mattupetty Dam, Eco Point, Eco Lake, Kundala Lake, Top Station and Fire Camp in Munnar.
Besides that, they enjoyed the Jeep Ride. Apart from that, they viewed various places, such as Sandal Forest, Brambaram view, Point Erumadam, Honey Rock, Keezhathor waterfalls/Erachilapara, Strawberry view, Sugarcane Factory and Murugamalai Off Road View Point.
Dr. B. Lena, Assistant Professor and Head and Mrs. V. Gokila, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics of the College were the caretakers for these students.
