Celebration of world ozone day
Owing to the world ozone day, the Eco Green Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted an awareness programme titled “Ozone is priceless treasure…save it with pleasure” (ஓசோன் ஒரு விலை மதிப்பற்ற பொக்கிஷம் ……. அதை மகிழ்வுடன் காப்பாற்றுவோம்) on 16.09.2025.
Mr. V. Indirakumari, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry and Coordinator, Eco Green Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal was the resource person.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. V. Indirakumari highlighted that increasing temperatures are leading to increased use of cooling systems like refrigerators and air conditioners, which in turn worsen the temperature rise, creating a vicious cycle.
Also, she explained the various environmental issues like global warming, usage of plastics, sunstroke, pollution, etc.,
Mrs. G. Kannagi, Coordinator, Eco Green Club of the College and students of the college actively participated.
