alm Seed Plantation Drive
Palm seeds were planted at the places of Kondichettipatti lake, Kunnamarathankovil Puddle and the campus of Trinity Educational Institutions on 15.10.2025, by the organizations of National Service Scheme, Youth Red Cross and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, presided over the programme.
Mr. M. Thillai Sivakumar, Director, Rathinasabapathi Environmental Rural Development Organization, Namakkal was the special invitee.
He highlighted the special characteristics of palm trees, role of palm trees for rising ground water level, advantages of palm trees and its products.
50 volunteers, along with the programme officers planted more than 1000 trees altogether. Mrs. V. Gokila, NSS Programme Officer, Mrs. V. Kalaivani, YRC Programme Officer, Mrs. S. Hemalatha, Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, Mrs. V. Archana, Physical Director & Mrs. P. Divya, Office Receptionist, along with the volunteers of NSS, YRC & UBA Cell took part.
