Road Safety Awareness Programme
Due to National Road Safety Month (01st January 2026 to 31st January 2026), The Road Safety Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organized a “Road Safety Awareness” Programme titled “Drive Safe…. Arrive Safe” on 07th January 2026 on the College premises. The theme of the Programme – “Road Safety, Save Lives” (Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha).
This event was organized to raise awareness among the younger generations, especially for college students, and highlight the importance of following traffic rules.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, presided over the programme.
Mr. M. Sitheswaran, Senior Trainer, Ashok Leyland Driver Training Institute, Paramathi Road, Vallipuram Post, Namakkal was the resource person.
During the programme, the special invitee conveyed the message of obeying traffic rules and wearing helmets to ensure safety measures while driving.
Mrs. L. Deepika, Assistant Professor in English & Coordinator, Road Safety Club, Ms. M. Rineesha, Assistant Professor in Chemistry, Adjacent, Road Safety Club and Dr. K. Gowrimala, Assistant Professor in English & Coordinator, UMIS (University Management and Information System) & Ms. R. Devipriya, first year M.A., English & Student Secretary of Road Safety Club made arrangements.
Ms. K. Santhiya, second year B.A., English & Student Joint Secretary of Road Safety of the College proposed the vote of thanks.
All the first year students (both undergraduate and postgraduate) took part on that occasion.
