Observation of National Dietetics Day

            On the occasion of National Dietetics Day (10th January), the Institution’s Innovation Council and Trinity Women’s Forum, in support of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, inaugurated the Trini Diet Clinic and conducted an “Awareness Exhibition on Lifestyle Disorders in Women” on 09th January 2026 in the College premises.

Mrs. R. Rupa, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal welcomed the gathering.                    Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, presided over the programme.

            The main aim of the event was to create awareness among young students and staff members about healthy lifestyle habits, intake of balanced diet and how to overcome the deficiency conditions.

            Mrs. D. Sophiadayana, Senior Dietician, Expert in Diet Consultation, Thangam Hospitals and Cancer Centre, Namakkal was the special invitee.

            The assessments such as Nutritional Diagnosis, Anthropometric Measurement (Height, Weight & Body Mass Index, etc.,), Diet Counselling, Diet Surveys, Temperature & Blood Pressure Monitoring, etc.,, were conducted for the students and staff members of the College.

            The faculty of Nutrition & Dietetics, Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi, Mrs. S Bharathi, Ms. A. Nandhini along with the students of the College took part in that programme.
