Textile Handloom Products Exhibition Cum Sale

Under the auspices of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, in association with the Department of Costume Design and Fashion, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a one-day weaver’s upliftment programme titled “Exhibition Cum Sale of Handloom Textile Products” (For the benefit of the public – For Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell’s Networking villages of the College – Vagurampatti, Namakkal Block) on 09th January 2026 in the College premises.

The leading handloom textile products manufacturers from the places of Namakkal and Karur exhibited and sold their products.  

The various textile products (both handlooms and powerlooms), like pillows, pillow covers, bedsheets, quilted travel beds, curtains, door mats, ordinary towels, rugs, tablecloths, dishtowels, bath towels, hand towels, bath mats, duvet covers, oven mitts and home decorate cloths are exhibited in the programme. The public of Vagurampatti and its neighbouring villages of Singilipatti, Periyapatti, Veppanam, Vasanthapuram, Kondichettipatti, Lathuvadi, Thottipatti, etc., eagerly purchased these handloom textile goods as well as powerloom textile products.

 In addition, the faculty members and non-teaching staff of Trinity College for Women, Trinity Matric Higher Secondary School and Trinity CBSE (International School), Namakkal also bought these goods for the upcoming Pongal festival.
