Pongal Celebrations
The students and faculty members of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, celebrated the Pongal Festival with great enthusiasm on 13th January 2026 in the College premises. The campus was adorned with Colorful Rangoli, Flower Decorations, and Traditional Motifs. The students and faculty members dressed in traditional costumes in elegant sarees. Pongal was prepared by the students, and it was distributed to all the participants. Owing to the Pongal Festival, the competitions like “Rangoli”, “Designing Delight Challenge” (Lucky Corner), “Smash a Piñata” (Uri Adithal) and “Spoon it to Win it” (Spoon in Mouth with Lemon Race) were conducted for students and faculty members. Apart from that, students performed in various dances, like, Stick Dance (Kolattam), Dance of Beauty (Oyilattam), Hand Clapping Dance (Kummiyattam) and Melody Magic. All the students and faculty members exchanged their Pongal Greetings.
Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, Er. S. Selvaraj, Secretary, Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Dr. R. Navamani, Vice-Principal, Mrs. G. Kannagi, HOD of English and Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer conveyed the Pongal Festival Greetings to all. All Departments Heads, faculty members, Non-Teaching Staff Members and students of the College actively took part.
