The Institution’s Innovation Council and the Department of Computer Science, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal jointly organized “MIC Driven Activity – Atmanirbhar Bharat – HEI Pre-Summit Engagements towards India”(on the theme of “Safe and Trusted AI) on 05th February 2026 in the College premises.

Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal of the College, presided over the programme.

Ms. R. Madhumitha, Software Developer, Optimus Technocrates (India) Private Ltd., Bengaluru,  delivered the topic entitled “Edit Smart, Edit Safe: Secure AI Video Editing with ChatGpt”.

The plenary was conducted in alignment with the Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative, with the aim of building awareness of Artificial Intelligence, Decision-Making & Problem-Solving Capabilities, and Self-supporting Digital Competencies among students.

The event focussed on equipping participants with a structured and complete idea of Artificial Intelligence, Generative Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence-enabled decision systems, stressing practical relevance across management and technology arenas.

During that session, she explained the fundamentals of AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, highlighting the evolution from predictive models to Generative AI. In addition, she brought out the AI usage in social empowerment, human capital & talent development, science & research, economic growth, agriculture, etc.,

Dr. S. Ramani, Managing Director and Mrs. K. Baby, Marketing Manager, Optimus Technocrates, Bengaluru also spoke on that occasion, and they highlighted the role of AI for healthcare, life science, finance, banking, manufacturing, engineering, education, human resources, transportation, logistics, etc.,
All the students of Computer Science (B.Sc., Computer Science, BCA, B.Sc., Comp. Sci. — Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and M.Sc. in Computer Science benefited through that programme.
