Environmental Awareness Program on “”Clean India – Healthy India” (சுத்தமான பாரதம் …. சுகாதாரமான பாரதம்)”
The Eco Green Club, in support of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, National Service Scheme, in association with the Department of Chemistry, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted an online environmental awareness programme titled “Clean India – Healthy India” (சுத்தமான பாரதம் …. சுகாதாரமான பாரதம்) on the 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th of April, 2026.
Mrs. S. Eswari, Supervisor – Swachh Bharat Mission, Namakkal City Corporation, Namakkal, inaugurated the program in the presence of Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, and Mrs. V. Indirakumari, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry & Coordinator – Eco Green Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal.
The Principal, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, highlighted the various environmental issues faced by our society, such as plastic pollution, global warming, air, water, soil, and noise pollution, wildlife conservation, energy conservation, etc.,
Finally, all the students, as well as the faculty members of the college, filled the Swachh Survekshan 2026 – Urban Citizen Feedback Form (Under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban 2.0) through their Android Mobile Devices.
Thirteen questions were asked in the urban citizen feedback form. They included: collection of waste, segregation of waste products in households and shops, cleanliness of residential areas, conservation of garbage dumps and piles, neatness of public places, like, roads, bazaars, markets, parks, etc., open urination in public spaces, maintenance of public toilets, reduction, reuse, and recycling of wastes, waste management, cleanliness of septic tanks, and general sanitation facilities in open spaces and so on.
All the students and faculty members’ participants of the College are greeted.
