Programme on “violence against women”

The Anti-Ragging and Sexual Harassment Cell, Trinity Women’s Forum, and National Service Scheme, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, in support of the “Crime against Women and Children Wing, Namakkal District Police, organized an awareness program titled “Act to end violence against women” on July 1, 2026, in the College premises.      Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, presided over the programme.
Mr. R. Vijayaraghavan, Additional Superintendent of Police, Namakkal District, inaugurated the programme.

Mrs. D. Roselin Anthoniammal, Sub Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Namakkal, delivered the keynote address. Mrs. K.S. Priya, Sub Inspector of Police, Singapenn Special Force, Namakkal District, gave the special address.        Crimes against women are continuously happening somewhere. Since the advancement of technology, the number of crimes has increased. Social media has become an integral part of our lives. Through this, more crimes are being committed against women. As women, you must always remain vigilant. You should also not share your photos and videos on social media. Unless they reform themselves, theft cannot be eradicated, which applies to this as well, they pointed out.

Ms. C. Tamilselvi and Ms. S.Valarmathi, Sub Inspectors of Police, Singapenn Special Force, Namakkal District also took part in that occasion.

Mrs. V. Gokila, NSS Programme Officer of the College, compiled the programme.

All the students as well as faculty members of the college attended that program. Mrs. S. Madhukaraveni, Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Coordinator of the University Management Information System Cell, proposed the vote of thanks.           Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, Er. S. Selvaraj, Secretary, and Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, have conveyed their best wishes to all the participants.
