The organizations of SWAYAM – NPTEL provide refunds to students from economically backward backgrounds who pass the NPTEL Examinations with a consolidated score of 40 percent under the system of the Social Responsibility Fee Waiver Programme. These online examinations are conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, and were initiated by the seven IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) of Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Guwahati, and Roorkee, along with the IIS (Indian Institute of Science), Bangalore. In this regard, Ms. B. Shivani Sree, a second-year M.Com., student of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, obtained the 50 percent fee waiver for her SWAYAM – NPTEL course on “International Business.
Ms. B. Nigitha Sree, a second-year B.Sc. Computer Science “B” section student at Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, received a 50% fee waiver for her SWAYAM – NPTEL course on Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management during the January–April 2026 session. Subsequently, a felicitation function was held on July 6th, 2026, on the college premises. Dr. M. R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal; Dr. R. Navamani, Vice-Principal; Dr. R.
