Drug Awareness Programme at the premises of Namakkal Government Medical College

The District Collector of Namakkal, Mr. L. Madhubalan, conducted a district-level coordinators meeting on the prevention of illicit liquor and drugs at the premises of Namakkal Government Medical College and Hospital, Tiruchengode Road, Namakkal, on 09th July 2026. The collector said we must all strive to make Namakkal district free of intoxication. We must monitor all students who are pursuing school and college education in and around Namakkal District. He also stated that all heads of educational institutions are required to organize various drug awareness programmes frequently within their schools and colleges. Mr. R. Vijayaraghavan, Additional Superintendent of Police, Namakkal District; Mr. E. Madhavan, Chief Educational Officer, Namakkal District; Mrs. C. Priya, District Child Protection Officer, Namakkal; Dr. N. P. Lalitha, District Tobacco Consultant, Namakkal; Mrs. S. Kavipriya, Sub Inspector – Singapenn Special Force, Namakkal District; Mrs. M. A.  Saranya, Advocate & Legal Advisor, Namakkal; Dr. C. Indhumathi, District Psychiatrist, Namakkal; and Mr. C. R. Rajesh Kannan, Secretary, Red Cross, Namakkal District; and officials from the departments of revenue, police, and education took part. On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, Dr. S. Jeyanthi, Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Coordinator of the Anti-Drug Club, participated in that programme
