Celebration of International Youth Day (12th August)

           Owing to the observance of World Youth Day (12th August) , the National Service Scheme and the Youth Red Cross, of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, jointly conducted a “Youth Health Awareness Programme” entitled “Young Women’s Health & Empowerment – The Foundation for a Fairer Society” (“இளம் மகளிர் (மடந்தை & அறிவை) உடல்நலன் மற்றும் மனநலன் மேம்பாடு –   சமத்துவமான சமுதாயத்திற்கு ஒரு அஸ்திவாரம் என்ற தலைப்பிலான விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்வு) ”) on August 11, 2026, in the college premises.

Dr. S. Kalaivani, Assistant Professor of Chemistry and the Coordinator of Youth Red Cross, welcomed the gathering.

Mrs. S. Priya, Assistant Professor of Computer Science; Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Assistant Professor of Commerce; and Mrs. S. Bharathi, Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, were the resource persons.

Women play an integral role in society. They are the backbones of families. They play a central role as friends, daughters, sisters, mothers, and grandmothers. When the woman of the house falls sick, the entire house is in disarray. Preventive care is essential for women of all ages to maintain optimal health, prevent diseases, and enhance quality of life, they pointed out.

Dr. A. Latha, Assistant Professor of Tamil at the College, highlighted the importance of caring for the physical health and mental health of women.

            All the volunteers of Youth Red Cross and National Service Scheme took part.    Dr. V. Kalaivani, Assistant Professor of Physics & Programme Officer of NSS,  Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, proposed the vote of thanks.
