Celebration of Geneva Convention Day
M/s. Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu State Branch, in association with the Periyar University, Salem and Youth Red Cross, Namakkal District, organized the various competitions like, essay writing, oratorical and visualizing & painting on 12th August 2026 in the venue of Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Namakkal. Due to IRCS TNB – Youth Red Cross – 77th Anniversary of the Geneva Convention Day Celebrations, those competitions were held.
Dr. E. G. Wesely, Associate Professor of Botany, Arignar Anna Government Arts College and District Organizer of Youth Red Cross, Namakkal welcomed the gathering. Dr. K. Parvathi, Principal I/c and Associate Professor of Botany of the College presided over the programme. Dr.T. Elangovan, Zonal Coordinator – Periyar University, Salem offered the felicitation address. Mr. C.R. Rajesh Kannan, Secretary, IRCS – Namakkal delivered the inaugural address. Dr. M. Chandrasekaran, Assistant Professor of Botany and YRC Programme Officer, Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Namakkal proposed the vote of thanks.
In this regard, five students of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, actively took part.
