Independence Day – Grama Sabha Meet
On August 15, 2026, the students and faculty representatives of the UBA (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan) Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, participated in the Grama Sabha Meet conducted in the four networking villages of UBA, like Aniyapuram, Parali, Tholur, and Pettapalayam, Mohanur Block, Namakkal District. The meetings were attended by a large number of villagers and local representatives.
They participated in the meetings with the primary aim of identifying the common needs, issues, and development requirements of the respective villages. Waste should be separated at homes into biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste and then handed over to the sanitation workers. The benefits of Viksit Bharat and the 150-day Employment Schemes (Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeeva Mission – Gramin – VB – G RAM G Act) Guarantee should reach everyone fully. The public must provide accurate information to the authorities during the census of 2026. Water must be used very economically. Drinking water tax, property tax, house tax should be paid to the Panchayat without delay, the officials emphasized.
