Dr. S. Jeyanathi, Coordinator—Anti Drug Cell, participated in the inauguration function of the Drug Free Tamil Nadu App.
A new mobile app called “Drug Free Tamil Nadu” has been launched by the Chief Secretary to the Government to enable college students to file complaints and provide information regarding drug trafficking.
Dr. S. Uma, District Collector, Namakkal, chaired a meeting in Namakkal (in the campus of Namakkal—Government Medical College and Hospital) on 18th February 2025 to sensitize the heads/incharges of the Anti-Drug Club of various educational institutions in and around Namakkal District about the Drug Free Tamil Nadu mobile app launched recently with the objective of gathering information from the public and the students about the smuggling, sale and stocking of banned drugs and bootleggers.
Mr. S. Rajesh Kannan, Superintendent of Police, Namakkal District; ADSP’s Mr. M. Shanmugam & Mr. R. Dhanrasu; the Dean of Government Medical College & Hospital, Dr. K. Santha Arulmozhi; the Manager of TASMAC, Mr. N. Kanaga Manickam; Project Director (Women) Mr. K. Selvaraj; the Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Dharmapuri; Dr. P. Cynthia Selvi; and other government officials took part in that drug awareness program.
On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, Dr. S. Jeyanthi, Assistant Professor in Mathematics & Coordinator – Anti Drug Club, attended that program.
