Department of Chemistry

Chemistry is known as central Science because it is fundamental to the understanding of other sciences. The Chemistry department aims to impart basic knowledge, Understanding in principle of General Chemistry, Theoretical instrumentation and various advanced fields like Synthetic Organic Chemistry , Nanotechnology, Pharmaceutical Industries, Chemical manufacturers, Forensic Science department, Plastic industries, Agrochemical industries etc. Also includes industries like Glass, Cement, Paper, Textile, Leather, Dye, Paints, Pigments, Petroleum, Sugar, Plastics and Steel Plants. Apart from this chemistry students recruited in other fields such as Oil, Gas, and Power sectors and even Defence services and Space. The five main disciplines of chemistry are Physical chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry. Chemistry focuses on both theory and Practical application. Our department will provide a platform for students aspiring to join higher studies also.
