80th Independence Day Celebrations
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the NSS volunteers, faculty members, and non-teaching staff members, along with the office bearers of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, on August 15, 2026. All the participants gathered in front of the college building. The prayer song (Tamizh Thai Vazhthu) was the first event. The national flag was hoisted by Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, in the presence of Er. S. Selvaraj, Secretary, and Dr. M. R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal. The Chairman hoisted the tricolor national flag. This was followed by saluting the national flag.
Our younger generation can now speak and write freely because our ancestors secured freedom for us from the British people, he denoted. We should use social media only for good things, he also added. Independence Day Sweets were distributed to all the participants.
Dr. R. Navamani, Vice-Principal, Mrs. V. Archana, Physical Director, Mr. N. S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer, along with the faculty members, non-teaching staff, NSS volunteers and Office Bearers took part.
