Bridge course for first year undergraduate courses –
04.07.2025 to 11.07.2025.
The English language plays a very important role in the contemporary world. Because of that it is very important to orient our students to develop their English Communicative Skills. Since the majority of our students are from Vernacular medium schools, the college offers a one week English Communicative Training Programme called “Bridge Course: in the beginning of every academic year. In order to remove the initial apprehensions and to ameliorate the communication skills, the department of English undertakes this task earnestly and willingly. A separate syllabus is prepared by our faculty members of English.
In this regard, an inauguration function (Bridge & Foundation Course in English) was held on 04th July 2025 in the campus of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, presided over the programme. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal of the College offered the felicitation address.
All the first year undergraduate students who have been admitted during the academic year 2025-2026 were the beneficiaries of this programme. The classes of bridge courses started from 04th July 2025 and it ended on 11th July 2025. All the four major skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing (LSRW) are taught to students through various methods.
In valedictory function, Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director of the College presided over the programme. Dr. M. R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal offered the felicitation address.
The faculty members of English, Mrs. G. Kannagi, Mrs. L. Deepika, Mrs. A. Revathi, Ms. M. Rekha, Mrs. P. Abirami, Dr. K. Gowrimala, Ms. S. Kavya, Ms. M.V. Mekavarshini and Ms. P.L. Sonia were the resource persons for that programme.
