A free eye screening camp was held at Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, in collaboration with Maharishi Eye Hospital, Namakkal.

In a commendable initiative aimed at promoting community eye health, A free eye screening camp was organized on the 17th and 18th of September 2026 at the premises of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal.              The eye camp drew enthusiastic participation from the local community, offering attendees access to a range of comprehensive eye screening services free of charge. The services were provided to the local community in and around the Vagurampatti (UBA Networking village of the College) areas, like Nagarajapuram, Veppanam, Vasanthapuram, Periyapatti, Ladduvadi, Singilipatti, Pettapalayam, L. Kanavaipatti, Nallaiyagoundampudur, Parali, Aniyapuram, Tholur, Madakasampatti,  and Ramaudayanur, among others.   The services provided included visual acuity testing, refraction using a retinoscope, subjective refraction with a Snellen chart, cataract screening, etc.
This event was organized by the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell (C9496), the Viksit Bharat Cell, the National Service Scheme, the Youth Red Cross, the Red Ribbon Club, and the Trinity Women’s Forum, in association with the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal.
More than 1,200 people (including students and staff members of Trinity College for Women, Trinity Academy Matric Higher Secondary School, and Trinity CBSE (International School)) benefited from that eye camp.

The optometrists of the Maharishi Eye Hospital, Namakkal, Mr. M. Maadhavan, Ms. R. Shruthi, Ms. M. Kalaiyarasi, Ms. P. Monika, Mrs. M. Sivapriya, and Ms. V. Menaka, conducted the eye camp on both days.
