Alumni Meet of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, in support of the Trinity College Alumni Association,  Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organized an Alumni Meet on 17th August 2026 on the college premises.

Mrs. M. Sujitha, Alumna – B.Sc., Nutrition and Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, and Junior Dietician, M/s. Jayachandra Hospital, Salem Road, Ramapuram Pudur, Namakkal, was the special invitee.    Hospital dieticians play a key role in the journey of a patient in critical care, surgery, oncology, and various other parts of hospitalization. Their role involves assessing patients’ nutritional needs, developing personalized meal plans, monitoring their progress, and educating them on healthy habits, she said.   Also, she described the employment opportunities for the students of Nutrition and Dietetics, in the fields of clinical healthcare, wellness and fitness, food quality control, public health, and research & development.

Mrs. R. Rupa, HOD of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the faculty members of this department, Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi, Mrs. S. Bharathi, and Ms. A. Nandhini, along with the students of the department, participated.
