Celebration of Educational Development Day
On behalf of the Postgraduate and Research Department of Commerce, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, celebrated “Educational Development Day” (124th Birth Anniversary of Perunthalaivar Kamarajar) on 15th July 2026 at the college premises.
In this regard, elocution and essay writing competitions were held. Dr. M. R. Lakshiminartayanan, Principal, welcomed the gathering. In his welcome address, he recalled Kamarajar, who opened numerous schools in every village in the Tamil Nadu state. Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director of the College, presided over the programme and inaugurated it. Perunthalaivar Kamarajar was a simple and great leader. During his tenure, Tamil Nadu developed significantly in all fields. Especially, he focused on irrigation, education, and industrial development. No matter how many years pass, Kamarajar’s fame will never fade, she said.
In continuation, elocution and essay writing competitions were held for the students of the College.
