Celebration of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day
Owing to the observation of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, the Youth Red Cross, in association with the Red Ribbon Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted a program titled “Why Blood Donors Are Heroes”? (ஏன் இரத்த தானம் செய்பவர் பாராட்டத்தக்கவர் ஆகிறார்?) on October 1, 2026, in the college premises.
Dr. D. Indumathi, Assistant Professor of Commerce, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, was the resource person. As we know, blood is the basis of every human life, and there is no life without blood. Blood donation is a great example of altruism in action. We should honor those who donate blood, she said.
Dr. S. Kalaivani, Programme Officer, Youth Red Cross of the College, made the arrangements. All the volunteers of YRC and RRC took part.
