The Department of Commerce, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized a one day seminar entitled “The Effect of Business Communication in the Globalized World” on 19th December 2019 in the College campus.

                                      Mrs. P. Yasodha, Faculty of Commerce & Management, NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion, Mudalipalayam, Tiruppur was the resource person.

                                     Globalization connects businesses and customers beyond the world. Effective and powerful communication is a vital part in a globalized world. Present day, no business can sustain without having a strong internal and external devise of communication. As technology advances, the world is both getting larger and smaller. Today we are able to communicate and connect with people across the globe at the touch of a button. Communication tools have been developed in day by day, she enunciated.

·         The Department of Commerce of our College has organized a one day seminar entitled “Crisis in Indian industries – Issues, Challenges and Opportunities” on 31.01.2020 in our college campus.  

Dr. J. Josephine Daisy, HOD of Commerce with computer Applications, Mahendra College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Kalipatti, Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal district was the resource person.

India is the world’s fourth – largest economy.   India population is growing 14% per decade, leading to problems that include food deficits, pollution and unemployment. The living standards of most citizens are not changing. Over 30% of population is living below the international poverty line.    India has many well educated technically workers.  However, we could not properly utilize them for our nation’s growth.   We must perfectly utilize our 5M’s (Money, Men, Machine, Material and Methods), she pointed out.

The PG and Research Department of Commerce, Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Paramathi-Velur, Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu state  is organized a one day national level seminar entitled “Digital Commerce : Panoramic Progression” on 5th March 2020 in the Pon Shanmuga Sundaram Memorial Hall (College premises).    The sub themes of the conference were digital accounting system in India, digital marketing strategy and implementation, impact of digital media on rural markets, digital workforce transformation – HR challenges, digital supply chain management and its challenges, fourth industrial revolution for digital commerce, digital taxation – goods and service tax in India, digital economy driven support business development, challenges : M-Commerce Vs E-Commerce, recent changes and development of digital business.

“Entrepreneurship in nation building – Differential ability and exponential mobility”

The Department of Commerce, Commerce with Computer Applications and Business Administration,  JKK Nataraja College of Arts and Science, Komarapalayam, Namakkal District jointly conducted a one day national conference entitled “Entrepreneurship in nation building – Differential ability and exponential mobility” on 09.03.2020.    Dr. P. Saraswathi, Principal of the College presided over the conference.   Mrs. C. Seeranganayaki, Convener of the Conference welcomed the gathering.  Dr. V.K. “Human Resource Complications – Its Contemporary Issues and Challenges”

Our College department of Commerce, Placement Cell and Research, Development & Innovative Cell jointly organized a one day web based Google Meet Event entitled “Human Resource Complications – Its Contemporary Issues and Challenges” on 5th January 2021 (Tuesday) at 3 PM. 

In this regard, Dr. G. KUMAR,  Assistant Professor in Commerce,  Thiru A. Govindasamy Government Arts College, (Affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore), TINDIVANAM – 604 307, Villupuram District was the invited speaker.  He explained the objectives, significance and merits of human resource management in this competitive world.   Hiring right people, organizing training programmes for workers/staff, giving monetary benefits, job security for the employees, paying reasonable salary, proper promotion, giving incentives and job satisfaction are very important for human resource strategies, he emphasized.

More than 90 students took part in that webinar event.

The Department of Commerce, Entrepreneurship Development Cell and SWAYAM jointly organized a one day webinar event entitled “Why do we create a woman employer instead of woman employee”?  (நாம் ஏன் பெண் தொழிலாளர்களை விட  பெண் தொழில் முனைவோர்களை அதிகம் உருவாக்க வேண்டும்)    on 11th February 2021 (Thursday) @ 2.30 PM.    This programme was held through the Google Meet of video conferencing. 

         Dr S Subadra, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Commerce, Namakkal Kavingnar Ramalingam Government Arts College for Women, Namakkal was the resource person.   
 Being an entrepreneur is not easy.  Especially women entrepreneurs.  Women are facing high challenges in India to be an entrepreneur.    Women in India lead a protected life.   Risk bearing is important for entrepreneurship.  Male dominant society, inadequate infrastructure facilities, shortage of labour, power, lacking in market resources, low technology, high cost of production are the main problems for female entrepreneurs, she said.
 Also, she highlighted the leading female entrepreneurs in India.     In addition to she pointed out that the women political leaders Mrs. Indira Gandhi, Former Prime Minister of India, Ms. J.Jayalalithaa, Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and Ms. Mamta Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal for their women empowerment and leadership. Dr  M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal welcomed the gathering.     Dr G Selvalakshmi, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Commerce introduced the resource person.

Southern India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education (TANSCHE) jointly conducted a one day virtual mode event in the name of “Mega Career Counselling and Skill Development Programme” for the benefit of Arts and Science College students of joint director of collegiate education regions of Coimbatore, Madurai and Dharmapuri on 12th April 2021.   The title of the event was “Be Ready to take next steps in Future”.

“Women Entrepreneurship Growth – “We can get more income from Goat Rearing” (மகளிர்தொழில்முனைவோர்மேம்பாடு – ஆடுவளர்ப்பிலும்நாம்அதிகவருமானம்ஈட்டலாம்)

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell , Trinity College for Women, Namakkal in association with PU – IEDP HUB, Periyar University, Salem and The PG Research Department of Commerce, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal  jointly organized a one day webinar event in  the titled of “Women Entrepreneurship Growth – “We can get more income from Goat Rearing” (மகளிர் தொழில் முனைவோர் மேம்பாடு – ஆடு வளர்ப்பிலும் நாம் அதிக வருமானம் ஈட்டலாம்) on 1st June 2021.     This programme was held through the platform of Google Meet.  Mrs. B. Lavanya, Women Entrepreneur, Lavanya Goat Farm, 5/43, Sundamendu, Sirumolasi Post, Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal District was the special invitee. Goat Rearing Business is one of the profitable businesses in Tamil Nadu state.  Apart from men, even the women may also easily do the goat rearing together with their routine work.  For the past few years, the younger generation has shown interest in commercial goat farming business in the Tamil Nadu state, she spoke.    Beside that she pointed out the following merits of goat rearing. 

·                     (i)                 Goats are small scale livestock animals.  We require less space.   (ii) Goats and the management process are very quick, easy and simple (iii) The Government of Tamil Nadu gives support to the entrepreneurs for creating Goat Farming. (iv) Goats are multi-faceted little sized livestock animals.  Goat gives us milk, meat, fiber, skin and manure production  (v) Infrastructure, feeding treatment and extra production cost are very less (vi)  Goat meat has a huge demand and value in our state as well as other states of Tamil Nadu.  (vii)           Commercial goat farming in the Tamil Nadu can be a great source of income and employment for the jobless unemployed educated and uneducated persons of Tamil Nadu.

  •               On second day (29.07.2021),  Dr Karthikeyan Parthasarathy,  Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade)School of Management Studies,  Kongu Engineering College, (Autonomous), PerunduraiErode District  delivered in the title of “Publishing Article in UGC CARE/SCOPUS/WEB OF SCIENCE Journals” . The quality mandate of the University Grants Commission highlights and emphasizes significance of upgrading high quality research and creation of new knowledge by faculty members.  Quality of research work is an essential part of our teaching profession; he indicated the importance of quality research papers.   In addition, he denoted the journals of UGC care lists for the benefits of research scholars as well as faculty members. 
  •                On third and final day (30.07.2021), Dr. D. “CANNY CONSORTIUM OF COLLEGES”

The Post Graduate & Research Department of Commerce of Trinity College for Women (Arts and Science), Namakkal has signed MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with The Post Graduate & Research Department of Commerce of Nehru Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Thirumalayampalayam, Coimbatore under the scheme of “CANNY CONSORTIUM OF COLLEGES” to involve ourselves in academic, non-academic, research, faculty and students exchange and sharing of resource training and publications, etc., to excel Higher Education.  This programme was held on 16.09.2021.

The Madras Management Association, Chennai has conducted a 16 day online certificate course (webinar) entitled “Spoken English (For College Students)” from 16.10.2021 (On the days of Tuesday and Thursday).   It is free of cost.   Ms. Hema Krishna, Linguistic Expert, The United States of America was the facilitator.   The contents of this course were English Grammar which includes tenses & articles of speech, writing a paragraph, writing emails, interview skills, making a PPT and giving a presentation, email etiquette, etc.,

The Post Graduate and Research Department of Commerce, Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Paramathi-Velur, Namakkal District organized a “one day state level workshop for NET/SET aspirants in Commerce” on 1st June 2022.  It was held in the premises of K. Kanagasabapathi Seminar Hall in the College campus.   In this regard, the following faculty members  have served as the resource persons.

The NDLI Club (in association with NDLI project, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur) of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (Autonomous), Peelamedu, Coimbatore organized a national level online drawing contest in the title of “Books – companion for life” on 16.7.2021.  

             Ms. K. Siddharthi, II B.Com, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal has actively participated in this event.   She got her achievement certificate on 09.6.2022.

             Apart from Ms. K. Siddharthi, got a third place in drawing competition in the title of “Save Environment” (சுற்றுச்சூழலை பாதுகாப்போம்).  This event was organized by “Ahimsa Pattu Mahal, Salem Road, Namakkal.   

           On this subject, a felicitation function was held on 15.06.2022.   Dr. P.K.Sengodan, Chairman of the College presided over the function.   He conveyed his greetings to her for her achievement.  Er.
