IIC Online Program on “”MIC – Driven Activity – Funding Opportunities for Biotech Innovation – BIRAC Schemes”
The Institution’s Innovation Council, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, arranged an online live program titled “MIC – Driven Activity – Funding Opportunities for Biotech Innovation – BIRAC Schemes” on July 24th, 2026. Shri. Taranjeet Kumar, Senior Manager and Incharge – Entrepreneurial Development, Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), AICTE, was the resource person.
The session emphasized that self-belief, hard work, and a commitment to sustainability are essential for transforming personal dreams into a successful business. Also, she shared various information related to entrepreneurship, such as BIG (Biotechnology Ignition Grant), E-yuva, SPARSH (Social Innovation Programme for Products: Affordable and Relevant to Social Health), Sustainability Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED), Promoting Academic Research Conversion to Enterprise (PACE), Launching Entrepreneurial Driven Affordable Products (LEAP), and so on. The management of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, arranged a separate ICT (Information, Communication & Technology) digital hall. More or less 100 students of the college actively took part. Dr. A. Vijayasarathi, Coordinator and Dr. K. Barathi, member of the IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council) made arrangements.
