IIC Virtual – Online Programme on “India’s IPR Policy”

The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, All India Council for Technical Education, organized a virtual program titled India’s IPR policy and provisions for startups, inventors, and innovation: Accelerating the IP Landscape in HEIs on August 24th, 2026.

The main objective of the program was to create greater awareness around building a strong IP culture within higher educational institutions. Prof. (Dr.) Unnat P. Pandit, Controller General of patents, Designs, and Trademarks, Government of India, was the resource person.

.He highlighted the need for legal protections like trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets.

All the students of the college assembled in the ICT halls for this virtual live program.  Ms. S. Vaishnavi, Assistant Professor of Costume Design and Fashion, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, made the arrangements.
