Celebration of World Entrepreneur Day
In celebration of World Entrepreneur Day, the Institutions Innovation Council and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted a program titled “Women Entrepreneurship in India: An Insight into Issues, Expectations, and Growth” on August 21, 2024.
Mrs. G. Nithya, Assistant Professor in Commerce and Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Trinity College for Women, was the resource person. Women entrepreneurs in India are very few in comparison with developed countries, notably in rural areas. Indian society is deeply rooted in ancestral values, so educated women have to travel a long way to attain something, she said.
Also, she highlighted the problems, prospects, and development for women entrepreneurs for the past eight decades, from the independence of India.
Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Assistant Professor in Commerce and Coordinator – Viksit Bharat Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakakl, highlighted the significance of entrepreneurship for our nation’s growth.
Dr. A. Vijayarasarathi, Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Coordinator, Institutions Innovation Council of the College, proposed the vote of thanks. More than 100 students took part.
