Live Preogramme on “MeitY Startup Hub: Empowering Innovation in HEIs”
The Institutions Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), in association with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), organized the MIC-Driven Activity titled “MeitY (Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology) Startup Hub: Empowering Innovation in HEIs” on 10th September 2026. It was held through a virtual platform. The event aimed to create awareness among students, research scholars, faculty members, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs about the function of the MeitY Startup Hub in promoting and fostering innovation, technology-based entrepreneurship, and startup development in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Also, the session focused on the significance of technology-driven innovation, entrepreneurship, incubation, mentoring, and industry-academia collaboration.
This virtual event was very useful to us, one of the participants, Ms. R. Madhusoothana, a first-year M.Com. Student, pointed out.
Mrs. V. Gokila, Assistant Professor of Mathematics & NSS Programme Officer (Unit 1), Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, made the arrangements. All the students of the college assembled in the ICT Hall and watched the entire live programme.
