Road Safety Awareness Programme
M/s. Highway Department Road Safety Wing, Salem & M/s. Road Safety Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal jointly conducted an awareness programme on “Safe Roads ….. Safe Lives” on 21.07.2025 in the college campus.
Ms. M. Kumutha, Divisional (Highways), Road Safety Wing, Salem was the chief guest. Mr. C. Subramanian, Assistant Divisional Engineer (Highways), Road Safety Wing, Salem was the resource person.
They delivered insightful information through the PowerPoint presentation, the importance of road safety measures and the role of individuals in preventing road accidents. Also, they stressed that two wheeler drivers should follow the road safety rules, especially to wear a helmet and the four wheeler drivers should wear the seat belts unfailingly.
Dr. B. Lena, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics of the College, Ms. P. Akalya Assistant Engineer (Highways), Road Safety Wing, Salem, also took part in this programme.
Ms. L. Deepika, Coordinator, Road Safety Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal proposed the vote of thanks. The faculty members of English, Ms. M. Rekha, Mrs. S. Gayathri and Ms. M.V. Mekavarshini were also present along with the members of the Road Safety Club of the Institution.
