NSS Programme Officers Meet
The National Service Scheme, Periyar University, Salem, conducted a one-day Programme Officers Meet – 2026″ on July 24, 2026, in the Seminar Hall, Physics Block of the University. Dr. S. Jayanthi, Member, Vice Chancellor Committee, Periyar University, Salem, inaugurated the program. Dr. C. Samuel Chelliah, Regional Director, Regional Directorate of NSS, Chennai Region, delivered the inaugural address. Dr. S. Sathish, NSS Coordinator, Periyar University, Salem, welcomed the gathering. Dr. P.N. Gunanithi, Vice-Chancellor Committee, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, delivered the special address. Mr. R. Vijay, Young Professional, NSS Regional Directorate, Chennai, and Dr. A.K. Ramasamy, Former Professor and Head, Postgraduate & Research, Department of Chemistry and NSS Coordinator – Periyar University, Salem, offered the felicitation address. All the dignitaries highlighted the introduction, objectives, motto, celebrations of important days and special camps of the National Service Scheme, the role of NSS programme officers, the utilization of NSS funds, the need for registration on the MY Bharat Portal, and so on. On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, the NSS Programme Officers, Dr. M. Sasikala and Mrs. V. Gokila, took part.
