Observation of World Mosquito Day
Owing to the observation of World Mosquito Day, the Red Ribbon Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organized a one-day awareness program on 20th August 2026 on the college premises. Mrs. S. Gayathri, Assistant Professor of English & Coordinator of the Red Ribbon Club at Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, was the resource person. She delivered a talk entitled “Your awareness is the best mosquito repellent.” The resource person emphasized the significance of understanding how mosquitoes spread diseases such as dengue, malaria, and zika and illustrated various preventive measures like wearing long-sleeved clothing, using mosquito nets, and eradicating stagnant water where mosquitoes breed. All the volunteers of the Red Ribbon Club of the College took part.
