Observation of World Wind Day

On account of Global Wind Day, the Eco Green Club, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, National Service Scheme, and Trinity Women’s Forum, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organized an awareness programme on  June 15, 2026, on the college campus.

In this regard, Mrs. S. Jayamathi, Assistant Professor of Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, delivered a talk entitled “Why Wind Energy Will Be Helpful for Non-Pollution? Wind power plays a significant role in safeguarding the environment. Wind energy is a renewable source of power. It helps reduce pollution and lower carbon emissions, she noted. Also, she said that large numbers of wind farms are available in the districts of Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, and Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu state. They produce a large quantity of electricity.

All the student members of Eco Green Club, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, National Service Scheme and Trinity Women’s Forum participated.
