Celebration of International Red Cross Day – 08.05.2025)
On account of International Red Cross Day (08.05.2025), Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch and Youth Red Cross of Arignar Anna Government Arts College jointly conducted a webinar titled “Global Burden of Vector-Borne Diseases” on 08th May 2025.
Dr. M. Rajeswari, Principal Incharge, Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Namakkal presided over the programme.
Dr. M. Chandrasekaran, Assistant Professor in Botany and YRC Programme Officer of the College welcomed the gathering. Dr. S. Padmasekaran, Zonal Coordinator, YRC, Periyar University, Salem was the chief guest. Mr. C.R. Rajeshkannan, Secretary, Red Cross, Namakkal Collectorate, Namakkal offered the felicitation address.
Dr. T.K. Senthilmurugan, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Cuddalore Government Medical College, Chidambaram, was the resource person. He highlighted the significance of observing World Red Cross Day.
Dr. E.G. Wesely, Associate Professor in Botany, Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Namakkal & YRC District Organizer, Namakkal proposed the vote of thanks.
On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, Mrs. V. Kalaivani, Assistant Professor in Physics and YRC Programme Officer, and the students of second year B.Sc., Physics, Ms. S. Harini, Ms. T.M. Haripreetha, Ms. K. Heaviya, Ms. S. Kanishka, Ms. B. Nivetha, Ms. T. Pradhiksha, Ms. D. Ragavi, Ms. P. Sowmitha, Ms. S. Sowmiya, Ms. C. Uma and Ms. S. Yamuna were also present on that webinar programme.
