Celebration of National Science Day
On account of National Technology Day (11th May 2025), the Departments of Physics and Computer Science, in support of the Institution’s Innovation Council, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted an online programme on 10th May 2025.
Dr. B. Umarani, Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Kongunadu College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), Tholurpatti, Thottiyam Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, delivered the topic entitled “Technology: Past, Present and Future”. She talked about the significance of technology and innovation in our country’s development. In addition, she glorified the importance of science, technology, innovation and invention in everyday life and encouraged students to adopt science as a career option.
Dr. A. Vijayasarathi, Coordinator – IIC of the Institution, the members of IIC, Dr. K. Barathi (Tamil), Dr. K. Gowrimala & Ms. M. Rekha (English), Mrs. V. Gokila & Dr. S. Revathy (Mathematics), Mrs. B. Kavitha & Mrs. V. Kalaivani (Physics), Dr. S. Anidha & Dr. S. Kalaivani (Chemistry), Mrs. K. Mekala & Mrs. A. Kavitha (Computer Science), Dr. S. Devi & Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi (Commerce), Mrs. R. Rupa (Nutrition & Dietetics), Ms. K.P. Theepika (Costume Design & Fashion) also took part along with the student participants. More or less 100 students from the classes of first year, second year and third year B.Sc., Physics, first year and second year M.Sc., Physics, second year B.Sc., Computer Science “A” & “B” Section and first year BCA attended that webinar programme.
