Observation of World Environment Day
On account of the International Environment Day (05th June), the Eco Green Club and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted an awareness programme on 05.06.2025. It was held through the platform of Google Meet.
Ms. M.V. Mekavarshini, Assistant Professor in English, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal was the resource person. She delivered the topic titled “Less Pollutions…. More Solutions”. She addressed and interacted with the students on the need and significance of environmental protection, organic farming, conservation of water, safeguarding pollution, etc. Also, she emphasized the need for environmental education, the usage of cloth bags instead of plastic bags, planting trees, supporting eco-friendly brands and the usage of public transport as an alternative to individual motor vehicles. The Coordinators of Eco-Green Club, Mrs. G. Kannagi and Mrs. V. Indirakumari along with the 98 students of the College took part in that webinar programme.
