Celebration of the national consumer day
On account of the National Consumer Day, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted an awareness programme on 24th December 2024 on the college campus. Dr. G. Sathiya Sangari, Assistant Professor in Commerce, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, delivered the topic titled “Consumerism in India – Problems, Challenges and Solutions”.
She has briefly given PowerPoint presentations on many areas of the Consumer Protection Act, Consumer Forum, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Indian Institute of Public Administration, Bureau of Indian Standards, International Organization for Standardization, Indian Standard Organization, Agriculture Marketing, Consumer Rights, how to approach consumer forums and how to lodge complaint, etc.,
The Coordinator of Citizen Consumer Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, Dr. S. Devi delivered the welcome address. Ms. P. Dhanushiya, Assistant Professor of Commerce of the College proposed the vote of thanks. The volunteers of CCC took part.
This awareness programme was conducted by the Citizen Consumer Club of the college.
