Observation of the National Pollution Prevention Day
On behalf of Eco Green Club, in association with the Department of Chemistry, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organized an awareness programme titled “Role of students in protecting the environment” on 02.12.2025. It was held through the platform of Virtual Mode of Google Meet. On account of observation of the National Pollution Prevention Day, this programme was held.
Ms. M. Rineesha, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal was the resource person.
National Pollution Prevention Day is observed on 02nd December every year, in the memory of those who lost their lives in the Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) gas tragedy on 02nd December 1984, she said.
Pollution is a major problem in our society. Environmental protection affects the quality of our life and health. Each and every student should take responsibility for the safeguard of our environment, she added. Mrs. G. Kannagi and Mrs. V. Indirakumari, Coordinators, Eco Green Club, the faculty members of Chemistry, Dr. S. Anidha, Dr. S. Kalaivani, Ms. K.L. Priyadharshini, Mrs. G. Mahesh and the volunteers of the Cell took part in that programme.
