Consumer Awareness Programme
On behalf of the Citizen Consumer Club, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted an awareness programme entitled “Indian Consumer: Rights, Duties, Responsibilities, and Laws” on October 13, 2023, on the college campus.
Dr. M. Sasikala, Assistant Professor and Head, Postgraduate and Research Department of Commerce, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal/Senate Member, Periyar University, Salem, was the resource person.
Most Indian consumers are not aware of consumer rights in India. Consumer courts are functioning very well in the most developed countries. As Indian consumers, we should know the duties, rights, and responsibilities of consumers. The customer is king. We should always be alert, she said.

More than 100 students took part in this programme.
Mrs. A. Rajeswarai, Assistant Professor in Commerce of the College also attended that programme.
