IIC 8.0 – Celebration Activity Event
On behalf of the Institution’s Innovation Council, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, observed the “National Pollution Control Day Awareness programme” on 02nd December 2025. It was one of the IIC 8.0 celebration activities.
Mrs. K. Mekala, Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Coordinator, Social Media, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, delivered the topic titled “The Bhopal Strategy : Key lessons”. It was held in the virtual mode of Google Meet.
This day is observed in the memory of The Bhopal Gas Tragedy. It is one of the biggest disasters as well as the world’s worst industrial disaster. Due to leakage of methyl isocyanate gas, more than 20000 people have died and lakhs of people have been affected. Disaster management, including safety measures and regulations are needed for all people, she stated. Nearly 100 students took part in that online event. Mrs. A. Kavitha, Assistant Professor of Computer Science of the College, made arrangements.
