Best wishes to Dr. A. Latha
Samathuva Boomi Trust, Ponneri, Thiruvallur District, Visalatchumi Pathipagam, Villupuram and Madras School of Social Work (Department of Social Work and Department of Languages) jointly conducted a one-day international conference on “Tribals and Transgenders in Tamil Nadu” held on 02nd August 2024 in the venue of School of Social Work, Egmore, Chennai.
In this regard, Dr. A. Latha, Assistant Professor in Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal got the award “Equality Scholar” on that day.
Because of her contribution to the scheduled tribes’ people in and around Kolli Hills, Namakkal, for their enhancement of livelihood, this Equality Scholar Award was given to her.
In this felicitation function, the honourable Minister for Minorities Welfare and Non-Resident Tamil Welfare Gingee K.S. Masthan, Dr. A. Sellaperumal, Professor of Anthropology, School of Social Sciences and International Studies, Pondicherry University, Puducherry, Dr. J.R. Lakshmi, Retd. -Associate Professor in Tamil, Presidency College, Chennai, Dr. Raghupathy Chandrasekar, Sydney, Australia, Dr. Manikandan Krishnamoorthy, Faculty, Beijing Foreign University, China and other scholars took part.
