Observation of international day of population

Owing to World Population Day, The Youth Red Cross of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized an awareness programme titled “Over Population – Reasons, Impacts and Solutions” on 11th July 2025 on the college campus.

Mrs. M. Malathi, Assistant Professor in Computer Science, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal was the resource person.        Over population is the major problem in India.     Increasing the population is one of the obstacles to our country’s development.    Due to a rising population, problems of poverty, unemployment, providing good education, shortage of medical facilities, providing good shelter, etc., are created in our society.       Rich countries have much lower birth rates.    As a citizen of the country, we should create awareness to the backward and hill station people, she said.

Mrs. V. Kalaivani, Assistant Professor in Physics and Coordinator of the Youth Red Cross, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal proposed the vote of thanks.   The volunteers of YRC participated in that programme.
