Initiative programme on “Tamil Nadu Students Innovator” – 11.01.2023

TNSTIP – Tamil Nadu Student Innovators Programme is an initiative of the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII –TN),  to motivate student entrepreneurs throughout Tamil Nadu state.  This programme was started in 2017.   This programme is provided for the student community in and around Tamil Nadu state and gives innovative ideas in the field of agriculture, industry, smart cities, health care, fintech and automobile sectors.    In Tamil Nadu, there are five regions of EDII – TN like Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichirappalli, Madurai and Tirunelveli.   

On this subject, Periyar University Innovation Entrepreneurship Development Programme HUB (PU-IEDP HUB) Periyar University, Salem and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal jointly organized an awareness programme entitled “Tamil Nadu Students Innovator – Initiatives – An overview” on 11th January 2023 in the venue of mini seminar hall.   

Mrs R Navamani, Assistant Professor & HOD of UG CS and BCA, Dr M.Sasikala, Assistant Professor & HOD of Commerce, Mrs. G. Nithya, Assistant Professor in Commerce, Mrs. S. Bhuvaneswari, Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Dr. A. Latha, Assistant Professor in Tamil were the resource persons and they highlighted the objectives, advantages and the importance of entrepreneurship for our society development.       Also, they described the information of innovation and entrepreneurship development programmes designed and executed by EDII in various higher educational institutions in Tamil Nadu state.

 The Members of EDC Dr. P. Saranya, Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Mrs. V. Indirakumari, Mrs.V. Kalaivani and Mrs. J. Evangelin also participated in that programme.  More than 200 students took part.
