Social Media Awareness Programme

The JCI (Junior Chamber International), Namakkal, in support of the Trinity Women’s Forum, Namakkal, conducted a social media awareness programme titled “My Friend: Mobile Phone” on February 24, 2026, in the premises of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal. The JFF (Jaycees Foundation Fellow), Mrs. M. Rajeswari Venkataraman, National Trainer – JCI India, Salem, was the resource person.

The JFM (Jaycees Foundation Member), Mr. K. Murugesan, President of the JCI, Sen. S. Praveenkumar, Secretary, The JC HGF (Junior Chamber Henry Giessembier Fellow), Mr. JFM, Mr. R. Sivaramakrishnan, and JC HGF T. Mohammed Rafi, Junior Jaycee Coordinator, JCI Namakkal, also spoke on that occasion.

Mrs. M. Rajeswari Venkataraman highlighted the role of social media, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, X (formerly Twitter), etc., and the advantages it offers to our current generations. She also talked about the various ways social media could be misused and how we could avoid such mistakes. She also urged the need for internet safety to avoid any types of fraud, stalking, or internet-related malpractice.

Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, the Principal, the Coordinator of the Trinity Women’s Forum, Mrs. R. Rupa, and the HOD of the PG & Research Department of Tamil, Dr. T.K. Anuradha, along with the students of the College, participated.
