20th Graduation Day Programme
The 20th Graduation Day at Trinity College for Women, Namakkal was a momentous occasion, commemorating the academic achievements of the graduates. This event was held on 09th March 202 at Trinity Auditorium. The graduation ceremony commenced at 11 AM, with an impressive academic procession, where the chief guest Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman of the College, Dr. R. Kulandaivel, President, Trinity Academy Matric Higher Secondary School, Mr. P. Dhayalan, Transport Director, Trinity Academy Educational Institutions, Er. S. Selvaraj, Secretary of the College, Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, the Principal, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Coordinator – Silver Jubilee Celebrations and the heads of various departments marched in regalia to signify the solemnity and importance of the occasion.
The celebration started with the rendition of the Tamil Thai Vazhthu.
Graduation Day was officially declared open by the Chairman, Er. K. Nallusamy, signaling the beginning of the formal proceedings and celebrations.
The Principal, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan delivered a warm welcome address, extending gratitude to all attendees, particularly the graduating students, parents, guardians, promoters, special invitees, press media reporters, college well-wishers, etc.,
The Principal highlighted the academic achievements of the College in his welcome address.
Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, delivered an inspiring address, sharing insights and words of wisdom with the graduates. Her speech encouraged the students to face challenges with confidence and make a positive impact in their respective fields. The future of India depends on younger generations.
Many opportunities are available for young graduates. They have utilized this opportunity, she pointed out. Also, in her speech, she said that higher education should not be based on the marks scored by the student, it should be innovation and employment and also entrepreneurship-oriented. Also, she remarked on the historical trend where men outnumbered women in receiving higher education, highlighting the importance of fostering gender equality in education and its implications for the future. However, although about 50 percent of women are involved in the agricultural sector, only 13 percent of them are landowners.
She also mentioned that India’s large youth population provides a vast pool of human potential, with the average age being 29. She proudly noted that India ranks among the top five countries in global development. She also highlighted the remarkable achievement of the college, which was established for the benefit of rural communities. The college has produced over 7,500, especially first-generation graduates from rural areas, in the past 25 years. She also denoted the welfare schemes provided by the Central and State Governments for women on this occasion.
All the 369 graduates were called to the stage individually to receive their degree certificates from the chief guest, greeted by thunderous applause and cheers.

Senthil, Professor and Head, Department of Abiotic Stress Physiology and Hormonal Physiology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, the Heads of the various departments. Dr. R. Navamani (UG – Computer Science), Dr. N. Elamathi (PG – Computer Science), Dr. M. Sasikala (Commerce), Dr. B. Lena (Mathematics), Dr. N. Thangamani (Chemistry), Dr. T.K. Anuradha (PG Tamil), Dr. R. Savithri (UG Tamil), Dr. B. Lakshmi (Physics), Mrs. G. Kannagi (English), Mrs. K. Punitha (Costume Design and Fashion), Mrs. R. Rupa (Nutrition and Dietetics), Mrs. V. Archana, Physical Director, Dr. M. Selvi, Librarian and Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, participated in that programme.
The Periyar University Rank Holders (2023-2024) of Trinity College for Women, the Gold Medalist (First Rank) of B.Com., Degree Ms. B. Shivani Shree honoured in the stage.
Apart from that, the third rank holder, Ms. V. Aishaneelufar, M.Sc., Computer Science, the sixth rank holder Ms. E. Threesha, B.A., English, and Ms. M. Kiruthika, the eighth rank holder, M.Sc., Computer Science, were also honored during the program. All the onstage and offstage participants greeted them with thunderous applause and cheers.
The ceremony concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
