Workshop on “Microscale Techniques in Organic Chemistry”
The Department of Chemistry, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted a one-day workshop entitled “Microscale Techniques in Organic Chemistry” on October 4, 2023, in the laboratory of Chemistry. Dr. N. Sudha, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, Department of Science & Humanities, Kongunadu College of Engineering and Technology, Tholurpatti, Thottiyam, Tiruchirappalli District Most of the organic compounds having functional groups like phenol, acid, alcohol, aldehyde, amine, amide, acid anhydride, etc. are present in our day-to-day life ad environment. Eco-friendly, low-cost, harmless time consumption, and economic and useful for our green environment are the merits of organic compounds, she said. The faculty members of Chemistry Dr. N. Thangamani, Dr. N. Santhi, Mrs. V. Indirakumari, Dr. S. Anidha, Dr. S. Kalaivani, Ms. M. Rineesha, Mrs. G. Magesh and also more than 100 students of Chemistry took part.
