Programme on “AI in English”
The Department of English, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized a guest lecture programme titled “Reimaging the Human – AI’s impact on Language and Literature” on 20th January 2026 in the seminar hall of the college.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, presided over the programme.
Dr. P. Parthiban, Associate Professor in English, Chikkaiah Government Arts and Science College, Veerappan Chathram, Erode was the resource person.
Nowadays, advancements in Artificial Intelligence have overspread in various elements, like Education, especially in English Language and Literature. AI has emerged and quickly become a pivotal tool for the acquisition and growth of the English language.
Artificial Intelligence plays a significant role in learning English, and it has many advantages, including personalized learning, immediate feedback, and improved accessibility. Due to AI’s role in English, students and faculty can improve their productivity skills, including the LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) skills in English, he said.
The faculty members of English, Chikkaiah Government Arts and Science College, Dr. M. Velusamy and Dr. S. Mahalakshmi, the faculty members of English, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, Mrs. G. Kannagi, Mrs. L. Deepika, Ms. M. Rekha, Dr. K. Gowrimala, Mrs. S. Gayathri, Ms. S. Kavya, Ms. M. Mekavarshini along with the students of English took part in that programme.
