Webinar on Mathematical Models in Agriculture
The Department of Mathematics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a webinar titled “Mathematics Models in Agriculture” on 14th October 202. It was held through the platform of Google Meet.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, welcomed the gathering.
Dr. R. Vasanthi, Professor, Department of Physical Sciences & Information Technology, Agricultural Engineering College & Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore was the resource person.
Agriculture in the 21st century faces numerous challenges like climate change, resource restrictions, food insecurity and raising demand for sustainable practices. Mathematics is important in agriculture decision-making, problem-solving, soil analysis, marketing and interpretations for planning and growth, she said.
Mathematics students of Trinity College for Women as well as other higher educational Institutions took part.
In addition, the faculty members of Mathematics, Dr. B. Lena, Dr. S. Jeyanthi, Mrs. V. Gokila, Mrs. S. Madhukaraveni, Dr. S. Revathy and Mrs. M. Nandhini also attended that webinar programme.
An E-Certificate was provided for all the participants.
