UMIS, Pudhumai Penn and Tamil Puthalvan Coordinators Meeting
The Department of Social Welfare, Namakkal District organized a meeting for NODAL Officers and the incharges of UMIS (University Management Information System), Pudhumai Penn and Tamil Pudhalvan on 19.12.2024 on the campus of Collector Office, Namakkal. This meeting was conducted by Mr. T. Kayathri, District Social Welfare Officer, Namakkal District.
Mrs. T. Kayathri spoke about the significance of uploading the details to the UMIS portal and how to help Tamil Nadu Government’s Higher Education Scholarship like Pudhumai Penn and Tamil Pudhalvan for the benefit of students.
Many incharges of various colleges in and around Namakkal District participated and clarified their doubts with the officials of the social welfare department. Ms. E. Banupriya, Gender Specialist, Social Welfare Department, Namakkal talked about the role of caretakers of various colleges, for getting government scholarships to economically poor students who have completed their school education in Government and Government Aided schools.
On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, Dr. S. Anidha, Assistant Professor in Chemistry & NODAL Officer and Dr. K. Gowrimala, Assistant Professor in English and UMIS Coordinator of the College took part.
