Workshop on “Bariatric Surgery”
The Institution’s Innovation Council, in association with the department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a one-day workshop titled “Innovative Techniques in Bariatric Surgery” on 12th February 2025 in the seminar hall of the College.
Mrs. P. Apurva, Dietician & Bariatric Nutritionist, PSG Hospitals, Avinashi Road, Peelamedu, Coimbatore was the subject expert.
She explained the various bariatric surgery techniques of cutting edge, viz, obesity in children and adolescents, mental function of obesity, nutri-prevention of obesity, lifestyle and physical activity, comprehension evaluation of an obese patient in bariatric surgery, energy balance, patient mock evaluation form, post-operative diet management, etc.,
The Coordinator of the Institution’s Innovation Council, Dr. A. Vijayasarathi, Mrs. R. Rupa, Assistant Professor and Head, Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi, Mrs. R. Vanitha and Ms. R. Srivarshini, Faculty Members of Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, also took part.
